Your issue is the speed of printing, not the failure to open another file (which is normal while printing). So compare printer settings. Also compare the DEFAULT printer, sometimes that is relevant.

Also, Adobe stopped supporting Acrobat 7 about 8 years ago(!!), and I don't recall that we ever supported it on Windows 7. Regardless of anything else, you need to upgrade.

Maybe it has something to do with the print job spooling properly. Are the two different computers using the same printer and printer driver? Are the printer drivers configured in the same way?
