Interesting. I never thought to keep at least one copy of acrobat open. the user typically closes the document when he is done with it, and acrobat as well. I just tested it, and it works. Now if only Adobe would be smart and read the default paper size from the default printer...
we are using all Xerox multifunction printers. the 5755 model is one.

I think you are aware, but,
Page scaling can be invoked in Acrobat in the Page Scaling > Fit to Page and this setting will be retained for subsequent printing. Additionally, in my situation, any feature of the Printer itself, Page Size, is retained until I close Acrobat. So if I choose Scaling from Acobat's scaling, and invoke a paper size via Properties > set the paper size in the printers dialog, all subsequent prints follow that rule.
Or the printer may have scaling within its own feature set (via the Properties tab in Acrobat or within its Preferences)
Is the user closing Acrobat?
