Re: Print message

When you press CTRL-P, you get a print dialog? Is that what you are getting? Or are you actually getting a printing-in-progress status message?

If the latter, perhaps the “specific PDF file” has JavaScript in it that forces printing as soon as it opens. To check whether that is the case, go to the Preferences in Acrobat (CTRL-K) and temporarily disable JavaScript by unchecking the Enable Acrobat JavaScript entry in the JavaScript tab. If the problem no longer occurs, then the problem is the PDF file. Contact whoever provided that PDF file to you for a fix or if you are more technically-oriented, reenable JavaScript and edit out the actions that cause printing when the document first opens.

If possible, post the PDF file for us to look at to confirm this guess as to the problem.
