Why do my files created from websites show gibberish when I use Adobe as a printer?

Many websites have a "Print now" button, which in the past I have used to create a pdf file by selecting Adobe as the printer. This would create the document and open it in my Adobe Pro 2017. Suddenly that no longer works. If a document shows at all in my Adobe Pro, there are no words, just strings of characters., like this:

Lately when I try to perform this task, I get a message as follows:

%%[ProductName : Distiller ]%%

ZKFEFU+Arial-BoldItalicMT not found, using Courier.

QUUCJM+ArialMT not found, using Courier.

HJEANE+Calibri not found, using Courier.

%%[ Error: Invalidfont; OffendingCommand: show ]%%

Stack:

( *)

%%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%

%%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%

I don't understand what to do next. I can still select the printer as "Microsoft print to pdf" then I have to locate and open the file inside my Adobe; this documents is as required.

Also I just realized that if I go to the garbled document, highlight some text, keep formatting and then paste it somewhere else, the gibberish is gone and the language is clear.

I have the most recent version of Adobe and Windows 10. My browser is Edge though I am sick of support telling me to change browsers almost as often as the suggestion to try reinstalling.
