Can't print PDF files on Mac 10.7.5 with Adobe Reader/Acrobat?

I've had other versions of Adobe Reader in the past and I used it to open and print PDF files without problems.  But now, if I open and access a pdf file, even if I can type into a pdf form, I can't print it.  The print preview shows a blank page and the printer will spit out a blank page.  Don't have any idea why this is happening.  Please help. 

I'm on a MAC 10.7.5 OS and am using Adobe Reader 11.0.06 and Adobe Acrobat 9.4.4
