That is really weird. The first thing I would try is to update the printer driver. If your printer supports different emulations (e.g. PostScript, PCL, ...), you may also want to try one of these other drivers to see if that fixes your problem. I've never seen this problem before (and I have printed plenty of odd sized documents), so I am fairly sure that it's not Acrobat doing this (but it's possible that you are running into a bug that gets triggered by one specific Acrobat version/printer driver version/printer combination), that's why I would tackle the printer driver first.
