I have a commercial application that can generate PDF images of barcodes. Each PDF is small (½” by 1 ¾”). So if I generate 80 barcodes, I get 80 small PDF images. I thought about printing these onto Avery return address labels (Avery 5167), however when I print from Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and choose:
- File > Print
- Under “Page Sizing & Handling”, section I choose “Multiple”.
- In the “Pages Per Sheet” I choose “Custom…” and “4” by “20”
- For “Page Order” I choose “Horizontal”.
- I also select “Portrait” orientation.
All of this looks good, however in order to print on labels, I need to adjust the margin spacing. Adobe seems to select the spacing on its own, evenly spacing the four columns, but Adobe uses a different spacing value for the top, bottom and sides. I have seen other posts where folks get into a discussion on “Margins” and Adobe not being a Word Processing program, but surely there must be a way to control how spacing is defined when multiple pages print on a page?
Thanks in advance…
