Save .pdf as .ps with separations including custom lpi and angle using specific ppd

My company is changing imposition software. The old software is only good up to Mac OS 10.6. The new software does not include any functions to set lpi or angles. Generally this is not a problem as these are functions of the rip, but occasionally, there is a need for custom lpi and angles. I have a working solution using InDesign (placing pdf and use InDesign's print settings to set lpi and angles), but I'd like to be able to do it without opening another program.

I have seen in the settings section of the save as post script dialog where you can set lpi and angles, but I can't figure out how to get the ppd I need for my rip to show up in the drop down.

Where can I load my ppd so I can choose it in the save as .ps dialog?
