Hello all,
I really hope you can help me figure this out. I've created a photo album to be printed by Blurb using ID and I'm having trouble getting the images to display the correct colors. Here is my workflow
1. export raw photo from lightroom as sRGB (I'm now aware TIF is a better [lossless] format, but this is not the cause of my color problem)
2. convert the photos to CMYK using photoshop to apply the blurb icc profile
3. bring the photos into ID using bridge (ID confirms that photo files are CMYK and have the blurb profile embedded; color setting for ID, PS, Bridge, and Acrobat are synced to the blurb icc profile)
4. export PDF using the 'high quality print' preset
5. open PDF in Acrobat (output preview confirms that photos have the correct blurb icc profile applied, yet colors tdo not come close to matching ID or PS)
If I open the PDF in Photoshop the colors are perfect, but in Acrobat the colors are dull and washed out. So what am I doing with Acrobat that won't have it display the colors correctly?
I've attached a screencap to demonstrate. The bottom right is the original ID document, to the right of that is the PDF viewed in PS, above that is the PDF viewed in Acrobat, and to the left of that is the PDF viewed in Preview.
